I started this project at the end of February 2024 and had the first birthday party/function on the 12th of May 2024. Two years on and we have new windows, new heating, new fire alarms and extinguishers and nearly utilised 80% of the building floor area.
The building has previously been known as Kings Revolution, Kings Arms, Dalry Arms and probably a few more names.
The name change is to get back to a more tradition name and a reflection of the building being an old coaching inn. Hopefully a new signage will be erected this summer.
The building is licensed to let out 7 bedroom on a short term let basis. The first tenants are from companies working on local project like EcoBrix Design & Build and DSM maintenance contractor. This will not be holiday letting, just contractors.
The Men’s Shed moved into the building in February and are now a hugely values tenant and source of much appreciated assistance.
We are happy to announce that a coffee and bakery will open this week and hopefully have a nice selection of cakes available for Easter.
I have also been approached by an event company to start using the professional kitchen for outside catering and events in the function hall, so this summer could be very exciting for us all.
The Coach House will be a place for the people of Dalry to enjoy themselves, relax, have something to eat and maybe go wild on the dance floor again…
I had seven musician’s practicing in the function hall this month and they are coming back for more in early May. Acoustic was great and space suitable for twenty plus musicians, so just form a queue…
There is plenty options to utilise the space all be it still a bit limited as new toilet facilities need to be built. There are toilet facilities available now, just a bit of a walk down a corridor and down some stairs.
The function room was previously run as a nightclub with DJ booth and a dancefloor. I have added a full-size snooker table, dartboard, chairs, tables and sofas and it will now be more of a function room for parties. Tenants use this every week.
Snooker table will be covered during a function to prevent any damage and can act as a food buffet table. Table and chairs in various configurations available to suit event.
